Soul Questions
Humans generally don't like uncertainty. Most people, when faced with the unknown, grasp for anything and everything that might give them an "answer" to whatever questions might arise within the space created by a lack of explicit knowledge or understanding. In the current world moment, people are asking all sorts of questions -- and, of course, there is no shortage of people offering supposedly authoritative, trustworthy (or investment-worthy) answers and proclamations.
These lines of questioning are ego-based, however. Soul-oriented questioning would be effectively inverted. Rather than asking: what should we do to ensure human survival?" we would alternatively ask: "What does the world need from humans at this point in history?" Beyond the incessant chatter of restless and anxious humans fearful of both the forgotten past and a fragile future, the world is asking us all sorts of questions.
This is the realm of soul questions. What is life asking of you? Of humans as a species? What might the trees be asking? What questions might the birds have as they migrate over our cities, sometimes becoming confused by our artificial lights and disruptions of ecosystems on which they rely to complete their arduous journey? What is your own land -- whether privately owned, or the public lands around and near your residence -- requesting you to consider?
